2024 Trend Watch: What’s New and Fresh in the Floral World

Every year one of my favorite articles to write is a trend watch. Not necessarily for any reason other than it forces me to take stock of what we’re designing a lot of, and what our clients are requesting.

Trends in the floral world tend to be slow moving, and have lasting power across many seasons, so we’re sure to see many of these styles stick around for the coming year or two. Here’s what I’m seeing:

Arrangements Without Greenery

If you remember in the not too distant past we were reporting that lush garden style designs were all the rage—and they still are—but a new wave of design with no greenery is gaining popularity. If you like this look, better be prepared to pay top dollar as all those blooms can cost big.

Floral Pin Frogs

Also in high demand: arrangements made in floral pin frogs. The pin cushion serves as the mechanic that all the stems nestle into, and the result is a whispy, airy design. We love this look for weddings. Swoon.

Butter Yellows and Peach Tones

This season we’re seeing clients lean into the Pantone color of the year (Peach Fuzz!) for floral inspiration. We’re loving pairing it with gorgeous shades of soft yellow and green. And, could not be more excited to release our new collection for spring this week that’s full of these dreamy tones.

Poppies and Ranunculus

The most asked for flowers in our studio right now?  Clients are clamoring for gorgeous Icelandic poppy and butterfly ranunculus- both floaty, fluttery blooms with tissue like petals. They’re soft and ethereal, and we can definitely understand the buzz.

Monobotanical Designs

Because sometimes simpler is better, and when we’re talking tulips or sweet pea en masse, we understand.  Clients are loving arrangements of all one type of flower- a gorgeous and ultra luxe look if you as us.
