Just In: Courtney Shares Five Veronica Beard Looks for Fall

We shared earlier this week that The Hive will be hosting a Veronica Beard Trunk show this weekend, October 19 - 22, with 20% off all purchases. But we couldn’t wait til’ then to have our supermodel, Courtney Rivkin, come in and show off some of the looks to inspire you.

Everyone loves our spring Veronica event, and we decided that our 20th anniversary was reason enough to do it in the fall, too. We’re also grateful because they are one of the brands that helped us reach this milestone. People just love Veronica Beard. The pieces are easy to wear in different ways, and this is a town where many still get dressed for work–maybe not as much as they used to, but still more often than not. And even if your office, or life is more casual, Veronica still works.

We literally can’t keep their t-shirts in stock. They are the best fabric and just make everything look elevated. You don’t look overdressed if you are out running errands but you can put them on with dressier pants and you are ready to go from the office to dinner. Not to mention that you can wear them 12 months out of the year. Besides having the best tees, Veronica built their brand on the blazer, the Dickey Blazer to be exact. If you don’t know what a dickey is, you should. It’s a horrible name, but a genius invention. You can basically zip inserts into most of their jackets and change their entire look. If you are someone who travels you need one of these blazers.

Courtney is styled in so many different great blazers to show how versatile they can be. I can’t let this post go by without talking about their pants as well. We just received two of their classic cuts in stock, the Renzo and the Aubrie. Everyone loves the fit and the fabric.

We know we’ve been asking you to come by a lot this fall but we promise, it’s worth it. And we love seeing your faces, that’s what shopping local is really all about!

Owner | The Hive, The Shoe Hive, and Yellow Jacket

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
