New Brands We Love: Loulou Studio
We are always looking for new brands here at The Hive. A few years back, my friend, Amy Hunt, mentioned Loulou. She has great taste and style, so I obviously looked it up. Brands aren’t always easy to find, especially when they aren’t headquartered in the states. I made a few attempts and couldn’t seem to track them down. Then, as luck would have it, they suddenly were represented by a showroom I already had a relationship with. So, as I stopped in to see Hannah Artwear, there it was.
It’s a great sign when a brand you’re interested in is already associated with a brand you love. Not only is it a new line to us, it's a fairly new line to everyone. It was started in 2019, in Paris, by Chloe Harrouche. She is all about designing the essentials, with authentic French simplicity.
We received our first delivery this fall, and just unpacked the spring collection. If you are going to purchase one thing from Loulou Studio, I would highly recommend the t-shirts. I know that sounds crazy, but they are really great. One item I am always looking for is the perfect t-shirt, and I think this is it. It’s not too baggy of a cut and boasts a great, thick fabric. We are going to do our best to make sure we always have some in. I haven’t tried it yet, but we just received a t-shirt dress for spring, and I imagine that will be just as great.
