Resort deliveries really used to be just about that– resort and cruise season. I think designers picked up on the fact that most of us aren’t jetting off to a beach vacation over the holidays and they’ve adapted this collection as a result. Though if you happen to be one of the lucky ones who gets to go somewhere warm, I doubt you’re getting an entirely new wardrobe either.

Now Resort is what I like to call “new things you can wear now.” These transition deliveries tend to be the best deliveries. My theory is that the designers have to tighten their collection and then the buyers (like myself) have to be super selective as well. Both groups end up picking the best of the best. This year we kept it really tight. We focused on our top designers– people whose styles we know you love. I also use this time to try one new designer as well. This delivery it’s: 3.1 Phillip Lim. It’s a brand that I was purchasing for myself outside of the store so I figured other people must be doing the same.

 I think we have the best of the best of resort from Tibi, Veronica Beard, Ulla Johnson, Allude and 3.1 Phillip Lim. It is a well edited and easy to wear selection. See my Top Five favorite pieces:
