Patio Crush

The sun is shining and it is finally patio weather! There is nothing I enjoy more than sipping a slightly chilled glass of rosé on a warm spring or summer evening, and no better place to do that than on a patio. I am currently swooning over the patios at several of our listings throughout Alexandria and looking forward to relaxing evenings dining outdoors at some of my favorite Old Town restaurants. Here’s a list of the patios inspiring me and fueling my rosé obsession these days!

8735 Fort Hunt Road

The sunny brick patio in the fully fenced and beautifully landscaped backyard at 8735 Fort Hunt Road is the perfect place to doze in a hammock or curl up in an Adirondack with a good book.

7305 Fort Hunt Road

The tiered patio at this listing is a full-on outdoor living area, complete with an enormous stone fireplace, pig-roasting station, cooking station, and bar seating for ten or more. This is truly an entertainer’s dream and only gets more inviting as we move into Alexandria’s summer months.

430 N Saint Asaph Street

This patio, complete with a private garden and a new cedar-fence surround, is made even more crush-worthy by its proximity to Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, and King Street, where you can stock up on iced coffee, refreshing beverages, and hors d’oeuvre before you and your guests settle in for a breezy evening outdoors.

9171 Rosemary Lena Way

A lovely English garden, a greenhouse, and a custom irrigation system allow the slate patio at this gorgeous listing to be surrounded by lush lawns and idyllic landscaping.

8105 Yorktown Drive

The patio at this Hollin Hall Village listing looks like it was made for summer BBQs. Walk up to the deck and through to the fantastic gourmet chef’s kitchen, where ample counter space and professional appliances will make prepping the burgers and fixings easy and fun.

8720 Standish Road

Dine alfresco on this pristine custom home’s expansive patio overlooking a gazebo and landscaped 0.75-acre lot.

902 Emerald Drive

This custom home is like nothing else in Waynewood, and the spectacular backyard is no exception! With a brick patio, Trex deck, tiered garden, creek, private campsite feel, and wooded vista, the front and back yards at 902 Emerald Drive are a gardener’s paradise.

Other favorites include the patio at Blackwall Hitch—where you can enjoy their fantastic new spring/summer menu and refreshing Dockside lemonades—and The Front Porch in Del Ray!
