It’s an understatement to say that not as much is made in the USA as was in the past. So, when we find great American-made pieces we like to spread the word. As boxes upon boxes of Frye boots arrived at the store yesterday, it got us thinking. As we reviewed our merchandise and discussed where things are made, we quickly had put together a head-to-toe look from The Shoe Hive–all made in the USA.
Kristi agreed to model the look for us so that we could share it with you. She is wearing a white t-shirt by California clothing line Sundry. Most of their pieces are considered loungewear but transition easily to daytime when worn with other, dressier pieces like this waxed leather jacket by Utility Canvas. Utility Canvas is a brand owned and designed by a husband-and-wife team out of New York. Of course, you are all familiar with Frye Boots and as I mentioned, we are now fully stocked for fall and winter. This cowboy style–the Billy Pull-On–is a personal favorite.
Kristi wanted us to also mention that her necklace is by Ruth Barzel– and also made in the USA. Many of Ruth’s pieces are for sale at Kiskadee in Del Ray. Even better? Kiskadee carries American brands of denim such as Paige and Henri & Belle.
