I have been in retail for almost 15 years now. One of my favorite things to select for the stores is jewelry. I think it is almost like art. Many times I have an emotional reaction to a piece and I just have to have it and I think our clients feel the same way.No other line in my stores elicits this type of response like Lizzie Fortunato does. There is nothing else out there like it. Try as they may, many other lines attempt to copy what they do, but they will never compete with the original. The Fortunato sisters are committed to producing unique pieces out of highest-quality materials. This isn’t fast fashion. This is inspired design that tells a story and champions slow production, with each piece made by hand in New York City.They are celebrating 10 years of business this fall. I will admit, I often wonder how I can love a season more than I loved their last one. Having been a buyer for a long time, I know that it is really difficult to keep a line fresh and interesting after a decade and not lose the core of what you are as a designer and a business.The Fortunato sisters have done it and they really just keep getting better and better. To celebrate 10 years they have brought back some pieces from their inaugural collection and once again created new pieces that you just won’t want to live without.
