Happy New Year! Okay, technically, we should be wishing you all a Happy New Year’s Eve. But really, we think it’s fine to say goodbye to 2021 and welcome to 2022, even if it’s a day early.

In a year of challenges and a season of reflection, we are so proud of this community. We have so much to be thankful for, and it all begins with you, our readers. Thank you for spending a little bit of your day with us. Our goal is to share with you the many, many wonderful aspects of local life, and we hope you enjoy getting to know our members as much as we enjoy sharing them with you.

As we look back on 2021, we can probably all agree we’re glad to see it come to an end. But that doesn’t mean it was all bad. Not at all. We made it through another challenging year - all of us navigating the waves of unprecedented times together. And for that, we say thank you. We could not have made it without your unwavering support and commitment to shop local. Our small businesses have changed and even grown this year. Yes, it has been a year of challenge, but it has also been a year of opportunity. We have welcomed new members, we have seen our businesses expand, we have welcomed new babies, said goodbye to longtime members (we see you, Angela), and hello to new owners.
