A Power Trio For Your Feet

I have always had an on-again, off-again relationship with the gym. Shame me if you must, but junk food and reality TV have always sounded favorable to a workout and a salad. It's that kind of thinking that has brought me to touching 30 years old and not feeling so great about my body. I put a lot of time and effort into my skin, but as we all know, what you put into your body will oftentimes reflect on the outside of your body (cue the: is this breakout from something I put on my skin, or from those McDonald's fries I ate yesterday?)

With that being said, for the past few weeks now, I've been putting in some real effort to make time for the gym and make wiser food choices. I work full time, and I'm a student, so this means waking up before work to exercise and meal prepping so I'm not making poor last-minute food choices in between work and class. I've got to say; I feel better for it. However, there's one department that has really taken the brunt of all this exertion… my feet! They are sore, tired, and even a little bit peel-y from all the cardio (ew).

While I was chatting to one of our clients about the Generation Bee bath soaks, she brought up the idea that they would make for a good foot soak. I thought that sounded like a fabulous idea, so I picked up the "Bee Well" vial for myself! I knew I would need a little extra reinforcement, so I called upon the aid of Londontown's Foot Scrub and Foot Balm as well.

Before adding the soaking salts to the foot basin, I started off by dampening my feet in the warm water and applying the foot scrub. The natural sugar crystals instantly went to work, gently buffing away the dead skin, while deeply moisturizing ingredients such as Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed Oil, and Jojoba Oil were simultaneously restoring the moisture in my skin. The aroma of Clary Sage, Lemon Peel, and Peppermint Oils filling the air made it feel like a true spa experience!

Next, it was time to soak. I emptied the "Bee Well" soaking salt into the included mesh pouch and tossed it into the basin. This mixture from Generation Bee is a eucalyptus soak that contains French Grey Sea Salt, Dead Sea Salt, Dried Echinacea, French Green Clay, Bee Pollen, and Eucalyptus Essential Oil. It was so relaxing that I couldn't even tell you where my mind went for the 20 minutes that followed! Ha!

The last *super important* step was sealing the deal with the ultra-nourishing foot balm. Perfect for overworked, dry, and cracked feet, the ingredients list is enriched with Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, and antioxidant-rich vitamin E for deep, and I mean deep hydration. The texture is so rich and fabulous that I kind of what to put it… everywhere.

So, remember, ladies, take some time for self-care when you can, and don't forget to show your feet a little extra love—they sure do a lot for us!
