All in the Family: The All-new Mint Condition

Hi Stylebook friends!I am thrilled to tell you guys about my new business with my sister-in-law, Megan Podolsky of 529 Kids Consign. Yes!  We recently bought Mint Condition and we are so excited to add it to our family of consignment stores. As you all know, Megan and I have been sisters by marriage for about 3 years and to be totally honest we hit it off the second we met each other. Both avid shoppers, Kappa Kappa Gamma Alums, and working women in the retail world, made our friendship instant. Megan is the one who got me a job with (my favorite) Elizabeth Todd of The Shoe Hive, and without that my life would have been much different when we first moved here to Virginia…can you imagine?!

Mint Condition

Mint Condition was a dream come true in so many ways and has been such an integral part of the Old Town community. We knew it was a special place the second we had a meeting with Toni to talk details and had to act fast. We couldn’t let this opportunity slip away! Megan has known owning my own business was something that I desperately wanted but we just didn’t know what it was I wanted to do in Old Town. When the opportunity fell into our lap, there was no way we could pass on this chance - it was almost too good to be true. I knew partnering with Megan was the best thing I could do. I like to call her the “Consignment Queen.” Megan knows the business in-and-out and makes a fantastic business partner. Who doesn’t love Megan Podolsky?! I now get to call her my sis and business partner, and she is a wonderful aunt to my Ruby Jill (yes, I feel like I won the family lottery ticket)! I feel blessed beyond words to say we own Mint Condition and that we are one big family raising our children together. There are going to be tons of new and exciting things happening at Mint Condition starting in October and we cannot wait to tell you guys what we have in store!

Junior Mint

Yes you heard that right! One of the first roll outs we want to do is to accept tween aka “Junior Mint” clothing. If your daughter has outgrown 529 Kids Consign and isn’t quite at the next phase, we have you covered. We will now be accepting girls sizes 14-16 and adult XXS. We love brands such as: Crew Cuts, Vineyard Vines, Ivivva/Lululemon, Nordstrom Brands; Tucker & Tate, Lilly Pulitzer, etc. Junior Mint will be located upstairs and we cannot wait to see what you guys will be bringing in or finding for your precious girls!Accepting fall pieces in October

Mint at your Service

Not enough time to make it into the store? We will now be offering services for at home appointments. Make an appointment with one of our Mint Condition Stylists and tackle that to-do list. You read that right ladies - we can come to you!Launching October

Now open Monday’s

Mint Condition will now be open 7 days a week from 11am-7pm. Come see us!Launching October

Walk- in Wednesdays (WIW)

Nothing new here, but yes, you don’t have to make an appointment. WIW are 11:30am - 6pm and we ask you bring ten items or less. We are now accepting fall; think lightweight sweaters, booties, jeans, outerwear pieces, and scarves. Make sure the items are laundered and clean, dry cleaning if needed, and in “Mint Condition.”  If an item no longer "sparks joy"don’t just toss it, bring it to Mint so it can find a second life and you can make a couple of bucks as well. Thank you for reading and come see us! I will be in the store on Tuesdays and Thursdays...some days there will be a parade of children running around and, if you miss seeing Romeo, don’t worry he’s the new proud shop dog of Mint Condition!P.S. - Stay tuned for a farewell party for Toni happening soon.
