"Quiet Luxury": A Trend I Can Get Behind

I consider myself stylish, but definitely not trendy. When I get asked what my favorite trend is I usually freeze up and draw a blank. This is because I tend to fill my closet with what I hope are timeless, quality pieces that will look just as on point in ten years as they do today. Even while writing this article, I'm wearing black jeans that I’ve owned for four years, a white button-up shirt I’ve owned for ten, black slides I've had for three, and a very basic gray sweater that I did purchase this year– but intend to wear forever.

I tend to (over)think about every purchase I make for my closet. I consider the cut and the fit and the color…until I finally pull the trigger. This doesn’t mean that everything in my closet is expensive. I'm a pretty mid-tier shopper for most things, but it does mean that everything is given time before purchase. To me, "quiet luxury" speaks to this, because what is the greatest luxury of all but, time?

When I select pieces for our showroom, I keep the same methodology as I do in my own wardrobe. I'm constantly searching for that perfect bracelet or setting style to help our clients achieve a timeless, easy-to-reach-for look that they'll get plenty of wear out of for the investment made. Many of our clients love the idea of a classic Cartier Love bracelet but don't want something quite so on-the-nose brand name, in which case I highly suggest considering our timeless custom bangle options or investing in a Needle Eye bracelet for daily wear. I also love either our diamond tennis necklace or bracelet for a beautifully sparkly look that feels easy enough to layer with your daily uniform.

Because of the nature of my business, none of these are pieces that (most) people would purchase without thinking through first. I understand that every purchase people make with us, no matter the cost, is the culmination of considerable thought and energy: you're investing more than just your money in this piece. So, if you're looking to add a layer of "quiet luxury" to your wardrobe, consider your jewelry collection. These pieces truly set the standard for timeless quality, and it will be that much easier to pull off your jeans and a white button-up once you have your selections made.
