To Have & To Hold: Customizable Items For The Bride & Her Bridal Party

A few weeks ago American In Paris officially launched AIP BESPOKE, a program of bespoke and custom experiences in collaboration with our designers and brand partners. Seeing as we launched in May, the month that marks the start of wedding season, it was only fitting that we offer a custom solution that brides (and their bride tribe) can take advantage of.

Silk leisurewear sets available in a variety of colors and styles can be emblazoned with hand-painted initials, providing the perfect wear-again gift for the entire bridal party (including, yes, even your mother-in-law).

Mix and match shorts or pants with long sleeved blouses or camisoles (or even a simple cotton tee). Monogramming is done locally (thanks to our collaboration with artist Sue Henry of Tulusa) and turnaround time is fairly quick (a couple of weeks or so).

For a most special commemorative item, consider a custom lacquer clutch with your new name, initials, or perhaps his & hers crystal appliques. These clutches were inspired by the jewel box handbags of the 1950s, so beautiful they double as art when perched tabletop. I designed them in collaboration with a Buenos Aires-based accessory designer, MOLA Accessorio who hand-tools and applies each aspect of the clutch based on the direction we design with our clients.

Pick one of our standard designs and customize it with your colors, or build a clutch from scratch, customizing everything from the base color to the exterior design, crystal closure, and optional, removable chain. (We recently worked with a customer to create a design that matched the floral print of her dress. The design was sketched by our very own Ana Tkabladze who leads our Bespoke Services; and reinterpreted with laser-cut acrylic appliques on the exterior).

Inside the clutch, there is a mirror on one side (we’ve really thought of everything) while the other side is lined to minimize the clacking of your phone inside (you can customize your liner, too). Standard turnaround time for a custom clutch is between 5-7 weeks depending on the intricacy of the design.
