Getting Your Face Holiday-Ready

With fall settling in and the holidays around the corner, this is the perfect time to plan your cool weather aesthetic treatments – and have your regularly scheduled enhancements timed right for all those holiday parties!

  • This is PEEL season! With less time in the sun, this is a perfect time of year to schedule a chemical peel. There are a variety of options on the market, all with different levels of intensity and thus results. I utilize the ZO 3 step peel that is a moderate strength peel. This peel helps with skin aging, hyperpigmentation, breakouts, texture and more. The downtime is most noticeable during the active shedding which usually starts around day 2 or 3 and lasts until day 6 or 7 depending on your ability to tolerate the application of the peel at the time of visit. This is best used with a current ZO skincare routine. This is done in the office. Peels are a great way to give your skin a fresh restart.

  • If you are considering a more advanced treatment to address pigmentation including discoloration, spots and freckles then an IPL (Intense Pulse Light) photofacial is a great option. A handheld device emits pulses of light that target specific areas of the skin, such as melanin or hemoglobin. This stimulates collagen production and gently destroys unwanted pigment cells. This helps with fine lines, pigmentation, scars, broken capillaries, and spider veins. Minimal downtime is needed after the treatment.

  • LIPS! If you have been thinking about getting the lips, get them! Summer travel and outdoor activities have quieted down, giving you time to let those lips heal before any big event this holiday season. There is no one size fits all for lip filler treatment, enhancement or augmentation is purely based on your preference. This procedure only takes 20-30min and is virtually pain free with the right combination of anesthesia. As lips are highly vascular, there is always the anticipated swelling and sometimes unavoidable bruising. Plan your events after at least 72 hours to allow for the initial swelling to subside. A well balanced face is supported with a nice full lip.

  • If you had your initial consultation with me we most likely discussed a facial balancing approach that treats the entire face (volume, movement and texture) which starts with utilizing a bio stimulator like Sculptra or Radiesse to help produce collagen resulting in volume and enhanced skin elasticity. The downtime is generally related to any bruising that may result, which we take precautions to prevent but you can generally go back to normal life within 24 to 48 hrs. Scheduling this treatment in fall results in subtle enhancements within 6-8 weeks with continued improvement over the next 12-24 months.

  • Of course, we can't forget our beloved neuroTOXIN treatments. As a reminder ‘Tox takes 10-14 days to set up, and lasts on average 12 weeks. This means if you schedule now for your quarterly treatment - you will be perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years!

My consults are always complimentary, and allow for time to start treatment. Start your aesthetic journey with me!
