A Breezy No Makeup Look - Just In Time For Summer

When the pandemic hit, I pretty much stopped wearing makeup. I used to wear a full face every day, but it became impractical working from home. After noticing myself looking a little bland on a Zoom call, I decided to finally test out a no-makeup, makeup look. Working at Bellacara gives me access to a lot of products to experiment with. After some trial and error, I found an effortless routine that incorporates skincare and the most important thing you put on your face - SPF. This is my new 15-minute skincare and makeup routine just in time for summer.

Cleanse: I like to cleanse in the morning. Something about the cold water really helps to wake me up. Deep cleansing is not always necessary in the morning unless you used retinol the night before. I use Clarins Cleansing Milk. It’s gentle and moisturizing.

Tone: I spritz the antioxidant-rich Maya Chia Optimist Hydrating Essence. It rebalances and hydrates (bonus, it smells amazing).

Moisturize: The Supergoop Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF 40 is three steps in one. Antioxidant vitamin C and SPF 40 all whipped into a light moisturizer that’s perfect for summer.

Base: An oldie, but a goodie. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (oil-free for me because I’m a slick gal) gives just the right amount of coverage without being heavy. It also contains SPF 30.

Cheek Tint: I love coral hues in the summer. The Baby Cheek Blush Stick from Westman Atelier gives me a pinch of color and the shade Minette is the perfect shade of coral.

Brows: I usually like a strong brow, but it looks a little ridiculous when the rest of my look is muted. The Blinc Eyebrow Mousse will fill in your brows without looking too heavy. Oh, and trust me, I’m a victim of the over-plucking of the late ’90s, and I love this stuff.

Eyes: Thanks to Revitalash, my lashes are glorious. I just swipe on one coat of the Westman Atelier Eye Love You Mascara, and I’m good to va va voom.

Lips: When I do a no-makeup look, I want my lips to look fresh and dewy. I absolutely love the Laura Mercier Stickgloss Lipsticks. They go on like a lipstick and leave a perfect glossy pop of color without all the heaviness.
