Have You Lost Your Momentum?

I was recently scrolling through my news feed, and this article from Vanity Fair popped up. It talked about "momentum dressing," and it intrigued me. It was definitely an interesting perspective on the part of the author. I didn't care much for the looks shown (she featured Kanye West and his new girlfriend), but it got me thinking. Even in non-pandemic times, we can lose our momentum. The author writes, "Dressing momentum is when you get into a groove of going out into the world, and you're intimately familiar with your closet. When you have it, it's not a drag to get dressed. It's a breeze! It's creative! You just think of something delightful to wear to this restaurant or in that space or with those friends because you're in practice." I was like, “Yes!” I feel this so much.

I talk to ladies every day that still say, "I'm not going anywhere." I get it! I really do, but we can't lose our momentum. I always feel better when I get dressed, even if it's super casual. Take this Wilt velour top, for example. It's an easy-to-style piece that I think is chic. Pair it with jeans, booties, and a fun long necklace, and boom! There's momentum.

Wilt, $155

A few years ago, we introduced a new line, French Kyss. I missed it at market for several seasons... not exactly sure how or why. However, in September, when I went, I made sure to stop by and check out spring. Our first shipment just arrived, and we all love it! The tops are super cozy, and each one has a special small detail to make it unique. Each one can be paired with denim to give you that momentum. Bonus? The matching joggers can be worn instead of denim if you just aren't feeling like wearing something that requires a button.
