Once again we kick off our Spring Trunk Show series with the first brand to ever help us host a trunk show, Attilio Giusti Leombruni. Longtime readers will remember that we were the first store to carry AGL in the United States. Well, to be precise, one other store carried it the same season as we did, but they aren’t around so I just claim it. We started carrying them so long ago that we were in our tiny, original space on South Royal Street, which many of you may not even remember. 

When we started with AGL it was all about the ballet flat with the toecap, driving moccasins, and slides. We had those styles in so many colors. They have always been our go-to for flats because of their comfort and now they are our go-to for everything. Wedges, sneakers, heels, and even platforms. Since the 3 sisters have taken over the company, it has evolved into a fashion brand, but they have preserved its heritage of beautiful shoes, made by hand in Italy with the highest level of craftsmanship. I mean this family has been making shoes since 1958 – it’s a third-generation company. I have seen the factory in person, they know what they are doing. And their neighbors are the top brands in the shoe world. The whole La Marche region on the Adriatic Coast of Italy is the "who’s who" of luxury fashion. My kind of place.

This year we have ordered more AGL for the store than ever before. We decided to carry fewer lines and do more with the ones that we know make quality products, are great to work with, and deliver on time. AGL does all these things, and their shoes are not what you see everywhere else. Did I mention they are comfortable? We’re doubling down on a company that shares our priorities, in more ways than one. I hope you’ll agree.

The trunk show kicks off on Thursday, March 2 and goes through Sunday, March 5 and of course, all AGL is 20 percent off. We have a few styles in stock that will only be in for the event, some samples we can order from Italy, and a few styles you can pre-order that we will be getting in this spring. We have almost 30 different styles to pick from, so there must be something for everyone. Personally, I am stocking up on the sneakers this year.
