The Hive And The Shoe Hive Fall Look Books Are Here! See The Fall Trends You'll Want
Usually I try and send out the look books for each store individually, but this year we have so much going on in September that we are sending them out together. Labor Day and summer are a thing of the past, so it is finally time to start thinking about fall.
Yes, we have some time before tweed and cashmere, but it is always fun to start thinking about what we might need. If you are like me, I am ready for sweaters, all things leather, and booties. This is my season. Don’t forget, the collection you see here isn’t everything. There are so many more things coming in besides what is filled on these pages; we just wanted to give you a sneak peek and let you know so many things have already been unpacked.
So, what is big for this fall? Here is our fall wrap up of what you will be seeing...
The Hive
Seeing Green: Color wise this fall is all about green. Olive, pistachio and grass are just a few. No matter what your skin tone there is a flattering shade for what happens to be my favorite color. If you aren’t too fond of wearing green up top, don’t worry we have plenty of pants you can incorporate into your wardrobe.
Bombers: Not that they ever went out of style, but they are back in a big way this fall. Not only leather, this season we have plenty of options in faux fur, so cozy!
Suiting and Sets: I know folks love dresses because it makes getting ready in the morning a breeze but so do sets and suits. Nothing says girl power to me more than a fantastic pant suit. I can’t wait to add a suede flare pant version from Veronica Beard in guess what color: green.
Knits: Sweaters are back in a big way as well. We are loving all the oversized chunky knits from Xirena. Color block, fair isle and cable knits are already on our shelves...now can the weather just catch up to our merchandise?!?
The Shoe Hive
Chunky Heels: Residents of Old Town can all give a collective sigh of relief, chunky heels are here to stay. Nothing makes walking around our cobblestone streets easier, other than maybe sneakers.
Animal Print: This doesn’t mean just leopard or cheetah; we are talking skin. Snake, lizard, alligator and anything else you can think of, skin is in.
High boots: Don’t worry, booties are still in, but this year we have more tall shaft boots that have been missing from our shelves lately. Heels, flat or wedges, we will have them all.
Shearling: We need a major temperature dip for this trend but won’t it by cozy when it is freezing outside? Slip ons from Vince, sneakers from Golden Goose and of course boots from our favorite all weather proof line, Aquatalia.
