The period between October 1 and January 1 is my absolute favorite time of the year. I love the fall and early part of winter and the fashion that goes with it. Owning a store adds a special twist to this time of year as it’s typically our busiest. To make things more fun, I love hosting events. This year, we have a really fun schedule so get out your calendars and make sure you to block out some time to stop by for one -- or all -- of them!Need some new holiday accessories? Make a purchase with her and save 20 percent on your purchase at Kiskadee that day.Next up is one my favorite events; I enjoyed it as a customer and it’s even more fun now. Thursday, December 6th is the annual Ladies Night Out in Del Ray. I love seeing all the ladies come in, having a good time up and down the avenue. From 6-9pm, you can come stroll Mount Vernon Ave and enjoy discounts and beverages with the retail establishments.Sunday, December 9th will be our Sunday Man Day. Ladies, come in anytime starting now to make a wish list then send your significant other to shop for you. It will be all day, 12-5pm, and there will be food and beverages to entice them. Additionally, we plan on piping the Red Zone channel throughout the store and hope to line up a projector for football. Of course, we will also have a special discount that day just for them!When I deployed overseas after 9/11, one of my best friends sent me a 12 days of Christmas holiday package. Starting on December 14th and continuing through December 25th, I had a small present to unwrap each day. I was thinking about that and decided it would be a fun event for the store. So, December 13th through December 24th I will offer a special each day. We will announce the special each night for the next day on Instagram. Make sure to follow us to see what it is. I promise it’ll be good!Last but not least, Kiskadee is going to have a basket for a raffle. Starting on December 1st and ending on December 31st, each time you come into Kiskadee, you can enter to win a basket full of amazing goodies, including gift cards from local Del Ray businesses.
