Introducing Banner Bee Honey

A couple of months ago, my daughter and I were traipsing around Leesburg because I had wanted to visit this sweet – and enviably good – little store called The Corner Store. They had just opened and were partnering with Cowbell Kitchen, a small café with what turned out to be delicious baked goods. Just as I suspected, I was not disappointed by this jewel of a store. In fact, based on what she was selling, I think we could be besties. It’s clear she has a love of old primitive antiques, just as I do.

While we were there, I spied a jar of honey, and it dawned on me that Kathy had just told me we needed a new honey line. So, I quickly made a note of the brand, and we dashed over to Cowbell Kitchen for a delightful dessert. When I got home, I mentioned the honey to Kathy, we looked them up online, and we were both sold. I’m telling you this story as prologue to an introduction. We are super excited to welcome Banner Bee Honey to Red Barn Mercantile.

Banner Bee started as a hobby three generations ago and has since become a booming honey business. With apiaries throughout the DMV, this honey is truly local. The family run business uses sustainable and organic apiary management. Each simply packaged jar of honey – from raw to infused – is antibiotic-free, chemical-free, and made on organic and organically managed farms and estates. If all that sustainability wasn’t enough, the honey is downright delicious!

Grab yourself a jar today and check out a few of our other favorite honey-inspired goods!
