It’s Pedi Weather!

Whether you’ve decided to brave the salon and get your first pedicure in a year, or you’re still doing it yourself, it’s time to free the toes. We didn’t sell a lot of sandals last year, so I was a bit hesitant to order a lot for this spring. There were a few that did catch my eye, and of course, we will always carry a customer favorite, Charleston Shoe Company. When it comes to sandals, and in particular Charleston Shoe Company, we tend to stick to basics. Kiskadee isn’t a shoe store... we carry shoes that will complement the clothing. This season, however, I decided to add some fun and color to our selections.Every spring and summer season, I search for the perfect neutral wedge. It’s a summer staple of mine, and I tend to wear it so much that by the fall it’s looking pretty sad. I thought these braided wedge sandals from Bussola were perfect. Neutral with a twist. (Available at Kiskadee, $108)  People who know me well know I love bling. These fun black sandals from Golo may be a bit over the top, but I love them. Life is too short for boring shoes. Bonus? They are super comfortable. (Available at Kiskadee, $156)   I’ve talked about it before, but I have some foot problems that developed in the last few years. My designer heels are sadly languishing in the closet. I had never heard of Charleston Shoe Company when I bought Kiskadee, but it’s definitely one of my favorites now. I find them to be oh so comfortable and the perfect shoe for walking around all summer, especially during a vacation. They came with me to Paris years ago and as recently as last summer when we were doing low key vacations closer to home. I usually order neutrals but decided it was time for color. I really love the hot pink! It pairs so perfectly with many of my summer dresses. Don’t forget! We are still doing Bird Bags if you’d rather try on at home: www.kiskadeeshop.com/birdbags
