Spice Up That Jewelry Box, Part 5: Lilly Barrack
People loved our introduction to Native American jewelry. I had one consistent request though: bigger pieces. I've been telling customers that another amazing jewelry line is on the way and it's finally here.A few years ago I had some time to kill in Albuquerque before my flight. Wanting to find some new jewelry, I stumbled upon Lilly Barrack. It was new to me but she's a big deal in New Mexico! The jewelry is absolutely stunning. Each piece is individually handmade in her studio in Albuquerque. Her pieces are forged from distinctive heavy gauge silver, sometimes incorporating solid gold accents or a splash of bronze. She uses reclaimed silver from post-consumer sources instead of silver mines.Every season she comes out with several collections and of course turquoise is always part of the designs, but she also uses other stones. I decided to bring in pieces made with turquoise, tourmaline, pearls, and red tigers eye. I am so excited to introduce another piece of home to my fellow Alexandrians![nemus_slider id="60670"]
