Loving Linen All Year Long

When we think of linen, we usually think of summer weather and keeping cool. But linen is not just for warm weather. In fact, it’s perfect for transitioning between seasons and is even suitable for cooler weather. Linen’s long, hollow fibers make it a natural insulator — so, not only is linen a great natural fiber that both feels great against the skin and can hold beautiful hues, it’s virtually seasonless. When the temperature drops, pairing layers such as leggings and sweaters with your favorite linen pieces will keep you warm and make your pieces more versatile.

The Carissa dress, great now on its own, perfect later with a sweater and tights.

At Threadleaf, we have a fresh crop of linen dresses, tops, and bottoms that are perfect to wear now on their own, and will be just as perfect later on with the right additions. This is also a plus for people who get warm very easily; it’s nice to have less bulky options.

If you want to get the most out of your wardrobe, linen will not disappoint. It’s a natural, sustainable fiber that washes easily (no dry cleaning here!) and is close to seasonless. Couple that with classic design, and what else do you need?
