Neighborhood Witches Ride!
Join fellow Alexandria women as they ride in Support of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on Saturday, October 30, at 5:30pm.
The Witches Ride is a fun and themed bike ride through the streets of the Waynewood neighborhood. Women dress up as witches, ride their brooms (bikes), and throw candy at the little monsters (kids) along the posted route.
The Witches Ride is an annual event to celebrate the beautiful spirits who have lost their lives to cancer and the ones who beat it. All children are welcome to come out and enjoy the candy; they only ask children to be accompanied by an adult to safely walk on the sidewalks while the witches fly by.
Although the ride takes place in Waynewood, witches from anywhere are welcome to ride!
To participate, the suggested donation is $20 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, plus your basket full of candy to throw. To add to the fun, a prize will be awarded for the best witch costume!
Additional details and the candy route can be found here.
