New Line Alert: River + Sky

Kiskadee has a new brand we want to tell you about called River + Sky. These soft pieces in muted colors would make a great addition to your fall wardrobe. I love unstructured dresses because I think they’re so versatile. I’d wear them now, but once it gets cooler, I’d add a sweater or wear a turtleneck underneath, along with tights or leggings. I love a good multi-tasker, and these dresses feel good on the body too.

The Brooklyn Dress, $148; The Simone Dress, $168

Have you read about the third piece rule yet? It’s this fashion idea (because I don’t believe in fashion rules) that says to take an outfit from good to great, you should add a third piece to elevate the whole look, like a blazer or scarf or statement jewelry. I think this is true too because whenever I see someone who looks particularly great, their outfit has a little something extra! This River + Sky duster is the perfect third piece, I think. A t-shirt and jeans are cute, but the addition of the duster adds a little wow. It even has thumb holes!

The Tie Dye Midi Duster, $138

As always, I’m interested in learning more about a brand. River + Sky is based in California and supports local manufacturing in the Los Angeles area. They use fibers from sustainable wood sources, and their fiber production uses a closed-loop system. This means that 95 percent of the materials used are recovered and reused during the yarn-making process. They even use the energy used to process the pulp to power the production facility. Artisans then create products from eco-friendly yarns or fabrics in small batches, usually by hand, working with tie-dye, so each item is one of a kind.

The Downtown Tee, $118; The Soho Tee, $118

Come on by to check out our new brand, as well as all our other fall arrivals!  Hope to see you soon!
