Picnics & Barbecues

With summer upon us, I can’t help but think about getting outside for a picnic with family and friends or firing up the grill for some barbecue!

Since we are heading into Phase 3 of the reopening plan, it will be nice to enjoy our beautiful parks again, albeit socially distanced. I am currently visiting family and friends in Colorado, and we’ve been grilling every evening. Nothing completes a day of hiking quite like a tasty burger, potato salad, watermelon, and corn on the cob. Having satisfied my palate, my aesthetic side also wants to be stylish and comfortable, and I’ve chosen some terrific options from TSALT to wear to my backyard cookouts and outdoor picnics.

First is the Hanna Bell Sleeve Peasant Dress by Nanushka that is perfect for a picnic by the river. This lightweight cotton feels like a dream on the body. The sleeve is versatile and can be worn up or down. I personally wear it down because the mosquitos are huge fans of mine and this dress gives me the coverage, style, and comfort I need for down by the river.

Next is the Mara Hoffman INO linen and organic cotton dress, which is perfect for a barbecue. The olive color is breathtaking and the oversized hip patch pockets allows you to have your phone and mask with you without needing to keep track of a purse.

My pick for relaxing for outdoor restaurant dining or ice cream indulgences is the Smythe Asymmetrical Top and Ruched Skirt in blue gingham. The fabric is lightweight with some stretch and the gingham truly says, “Summer is here!” Perfect with heels or white sneakers!

I hope you cherish these new opportunities to be outside with friends as we come into July as much as I do!
