I talked about this new line when I came back from the Atlanta gift show in January. I wandered around the accessories area, one of my favorite sections, and I saw this booth with colorful, happy bags. Well, the booth was mobbed. I didn’t have an appointment since I stumbled upon it, so I knew it was going to be difficult to get in there with all of the other buyers. I circled the booth so many times that I lost count, waiting for a break in the action. I finally saw my chance and jumped on in. I knew these would be the perfect bags for all of the fun summer activities… the beach, golfing, tennis, and boating. Of course, I ordered one for myself, as did my friend Mary who accompanied me.  I’ve been patiently awaiting them while checking in with my rep. I was so excited when she finally told me they were shipping. Founded in 2015, Squeeze de Citron is the brainchild of Lila Lemon. These bags represent the work of talented Mexican artists. Made in Oaxaca, each custom bag takes an entire week to create, with an additional three days dedicated to creating the handles. They are made with 100 percent vegan recyclable plastic with added structure making it durable as well as waterproof. The company works on a fair-trade basis, giving back 65 percent of the annual cost of production. They are extremely lightweight and made to last for years. My favorite part? The adorable tassels.
