Two New Lines at The Hive: Closed and Mansur Gavriel

Every season we try to add a new line or two to our selection. Often, it is items that we have been buying personally from other stores and we realize, why aren’t we carrying the line at The Hive?

That happened with both of these lines I’m writing about today. I purchased my first Closed denim jacket a few years back. As it is with most items I track down, I saw someone wearing it at market. She owned the store Meridian in Bozeman, Montana and really I wanted her entire outfit. I asked her about the brand and wrote it down. Not sure if I even investigated it right away. But then Shannon started mentioning it and it all came full circle. They had also been reaching out to us to come see them at market so I viewed it as a sign it was time to see the line.

We went last February and just received our first shipment a few weeks ago. The response has been amazing. Launched in 1978 by three friends who started with a denim style, the pedal pusher. The X-pocket is their signature and has remained a part of the design of their denim. Despite being known for denim, the skirt and sweater set and blouses have been flying off the shelves.

Next up is a purse line, Mansur Gavriel. Started by friends Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel they launched with two simple and iconic designs, a bucket and a tote bag. The shapes are still the collection today but it has grown beyond those two styles and expanded to shoes. Designed in New York and made in Italy, the bags are clean and simple and void of clunky hardware and logos. I really love the cloud clutch which I think is now the most recognizable style. If you are in the market for a new bag you should come check out our selection. We are hoping to add some shoes to the selection as well.

We hope you love the two new lines as much as we do. Come check out all our newest arrivals at The Hive!
