As the mother of four boys to run around on a daily basis, there are days that start at 6am and don’t end until 11pm, and we don’t do any “travel” sports. To those of you who do, I can only say…”I’m not worthy!” I literally don’t know how you do it. Kudos to you!
Lately, my second home is my car so many nights things are a bit more streamlined. That isn’t to say I don’t use a ton of product…I do. I just don’t always get the chance to do everything I’d like, every night. So I have broken my regimen down according to my life as it currently exists.
Wake up and grab my Dr. Gross SpectraLite from bedside table and put it on until it shuts off three minutes later. Get up. OK…lie there for ten more minutes…then get up.
The one thing I do every morning is use an all-in-one cleanser. My skin is dry, yet irritatingly prone to breakouts if I am inconsistent in my skincare. I used to get up and just swipe a toner over my face because who has time to cleanse, tone, etc., all in the morning? Then came Dr. Gross All-in-One Cleanser with Toner. Two steps in one…I’m in.
I pat my face dry and use my Skinceuticals Phloretin CF antioxidant serum. I’m convinced that if I don’t use it one day, all the sins of my past will hit the next day like the picture of Dorian Gray. Yes, ridiculous…and yet I don’t go a day without it.
Next, I use my Ferulic and Retinol Eye Cream from Dr. Dennis Gross, followed by the Super Couple Oil from Maya Chia, and lastly Skinceuticals Physical Fusion Sunscreen. Five products every day without fail. When winter comes and the heaters go on I will layer the Dr. Gross Collagen C+ Deep Cream or Skinceuticals H. A. Intensifier over the oil.
Let’s be honest, some nights we can’t do it all. Just because I own a skincare store doesn’t mean I don’t fall into that category.
Wash face with Rilastil Make-Up Remover Towelettes and Micellar Solution on a cotton pad for mascara and eye makeup. I don’t want to wake anyone up with a five-minute washing regimen and running water. I then soak my Make-Up Eraser under a quick stream of water, ring it out and pass over my face to make sure I get every last remnant of makeup off. Dr. Gross Ferulic and Retinol Eye Cream or Skinceuticals A.G. E. Eye Complex is next. Lastly, my Ferulic and Retinol Cream. Done.
Wash my face with Alchimie Forever Excimer Gel and my Clarisonic. Remove eye make-up with Rilastil Micellar Solution and make a pass with it over my face to pick up any trace make-up. Use a Dr. Dennis Gross peel pad or Skinceuticals Retexturing Activator to gently exfoliate. I then use Skinceuticals Resveratrol B E followed by my night creams above.
When it’s raining and I’m home or when I have extra time, I will try to do a mask once a week. I love the Alchimie Forever brightening Kantic Mask.
That is it…at least until the next must-have product comes in and then I’ll have to figure out a way to incorporate that, too. I can’t help it!
