“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie
The world moves at such a rapid rate that sometimes we forget to recognize and express our gratitude for abundances in life. Starting each day with a grateful heart directly impacts our everyday life and helps us live life in a positive light. Our perceptions of life change and become lighter. Our hearts open and appreciate diversity. Our minds clear and become present in the moment. Our “to-do” lists become less of a burden and more of an opportunity.
Practicing the art of gratitude helps us live together in peace, good health, and harmony. The power of gratitude is extraordinary, much like our Alexandria community.
One year ago in August, we opened our doors in the Old Town neighborhood, and since then, our team has cultivated and put into practice a daily attitude of gratitude for our amazing community. Over the past year, we have cultivated so many enriching partnerships, relationships, and more importantly, friendships. As we acknowledge, appreciate, and celebrate our one year anniversary, we want to express our appreciation and gratitude for the incredible support, collaboration and partnership of this Extraordinary Alexandria community.
In a celebration of community and connection, we invite you to join us in an “Om to Old Town” on August 29th, 2015. At 7 p.m., lululemon Old Town Ambassadors, Olivia Sheldon and Gina White, will lead a special twilight yoga and mindfulness practice at Oronoco Bay Park. Directly following, the celebration continues at Blackwall Hitch for a happy hour of cocktails and refreshments among friends and neighbors.
In love and gratitude,
the team at lululemon athletica Old Town
P.S. Please bring a yoga mat and we’ll take care of the rest! Visit our Facebook Page to save the date and to share the invite with friends – the more the merrier!
