back to school with fitness on the run

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end.

We at Fitness on the Run have a lot going on to prepare for the start of this new school year. We have recently welcomed two new instructors, bringing in new equipment, and are unveiling an exciting workshop to offer you to get back into the swing of your workouts.

First, hailing from deep in the South, Andre Crochet is a new certified instructor who challenges her clients with kettlebells and bodyweight movements that will help you understand where each muscle is located – long after you leave the gym! She has a kind and gentle disposition.

Calling Ryan Jankowitz qualified is an understatement. Ryan was previously with FOR and has returned, this time for good. He has a long list of certifications that include nutrition, mobility and strength conditioning.

Second, soon we will be installing our newest piece of equipment: the rings! Talk about a total body workout! We have a host of ways to get you comfortable with them and challenge you too to think outside the box.

Last, the following workshop for Alexandria Stylebook readers:

Back to School Workshop September 24 at 10am-11am. Cost: $47. Click here to register.

Like many, you may have put your workouts on the back burner and need a little push, a little new and a lot of bang for your buck. Well, we have it.

We plan to teach some new movements and how important they are to building muscle, burning fat and keeping those joints mobile. We will show you how to incorporate these movements into your daily life so the workouts you plan for Fall build muscle. Better yet, you can learn how to burn fat all day – on the way to and from school or work or wherever you daily path leads you. You will learn how to use your own body for strength: safely.

So give yourself permission during this last week to bask in the sun and fun and take in the rest you may have enjoyed. September is here and it is time to get moving.

She is passionate about helping others view their fitness as a journey, not a quick fix. Adrien’s recipe for success has evolved from a rigid training plan of a 4-5 workouts per week. Now, she believes the most important ingredient is making small changes for big results — even if its only five minutes a day. She works daily to help clients understand the three most vital component of a effective fitness program are consistency, sustainability, and fun. Adrien believes we all benefit from being curious about our bodies and our health and that change is always within reach. She lives a clean lifestyle, insists on getting sufficient quality sleep, and finds ways to manage her stress, typically through dancing with her kids nightly.
