Bullet Journaling for Back to School

For their own unique reasons, my children find staying organized at school challenging. At Penny Post we figured they weren’t alone. Transitioning from middle school to high school or high school to living on your own at college can be tough on anyone. Having the right strategies and tools to stay organized can make a world of difference.

Bullet journaling is an amazing way to keep your priorities in line and make those critical school deadlines. Next Wednesday we are excited to bring you a very special bullet journaling workshop designed to help students and teens successfully navigate their academic careers.

On Wednesday, July 10, from 6-8pm, we are delighted to have Penny Post’s very own Beth Scanlon hosting our first ever teen bullet journaling workshop. Beth is an artist and former school teacher turned bullet journaler extraordinaire. Her personal bullet journal is a feast for the eyes, as well as an excellent organizational tool.

During this workshop, she will guide you through the basics of bullet journaling and will share creative layouts and techniques to help you organize ideas, goals, daily tasks, habits, as well as any upcoming events and adventures. You will leave with loads of inspiration and a set of skills to keep you organized throughout the school year and beyond! A bullet journal is included in the ticket price, and we will have all the tools and tricks you’ll need to get started! This workshop is recommended for ages 13 and up.

So, if you’re in need of a little extra help, then this workshop is perfect for you. Spots are limited so I suggest you sign up fast!

  • The latest from Amy
Owner Amy Rutherford started Red Barn because she wanted to deliver a service — to provide both old and new in one place. No longer will busy shoppers be limited to reproductions or forced to shop multiple flea markets for the look or gifts they want. The trick in blending old and new, vintage and modern, classic and quirky, is balance. And Amy’s knack for mixing rustic antiques with urban chic has created a look that is both fresh and familiar.

Red Barn Mercantile opened its doors in September 2007 with a single vision in mind: providing old and new to offer our customers signature whole-room designs at great prices.

We’re more than a furniture boutique and provide more personalized service than a big box retailer. We work hard to bring you the highest quality furniture and gifts, the most unique conversation starters, wall hangings and accent pieces, whether they come from off-the-beaten-track flea markets, or the latest designers.
