Fall Beauty: The Power of Change

Fall is my favorite time of year. When I lived on the West Coast, spring and summer were my favorite seasons, but since moving to Virginia that has changed. I love the cooler months where the weather still allows for sleeveless days and light sweater evenings. I love that after months of wearing more sunscreen than makeup, I get to pull out my red lipstick and dark eyeshadows and feel just a bit fancier than I have in months.Yesterday we received the new Lipstick Queen Method in the Madness lipsticks. They are all gorgeous, but I was immediately drawn to the red one. I wore it all day and then put it on again today. I felt powerful and sophisticated. I walked differently. I know it sounds strange, but I swear I walked with more confidence. I had to go to the Apple store for the third time to fix a problem that should have been fixed the first time. I walked in with my red lipstick, was polite but firm, and walked out with a new phone. Sure, I had been there three times. I probably could have walked in wearing a paper bag and walked out with a new phone, but at the time I was sure it was because my lipstick said, “I am not to be trifled with.”We have so many new products in store…SO MANY. We have new makeup brands, body scrubs, fragrances, self-tanning products (which I am still using), and it is so fun. It’s like Christmas every day when these boxes show up.I love beauty because I get an instant pick me up for so little money. I can feel just as happy with a new sweater, or chair, or bracelet…but I guarantee it will cost far me far more than the peppermint coffee body scrub I just took home. My goal with Bellacara is to always have something new to look at. Something new to take home and experience. Something new to make you feel better about your appearance or to help you pamper yourself.I feel like a kid in a candy store when new things arrive, and I want to share that enthusiasm with you. I want to show you things you may not have known existed. I want to help you walk with more confidence. I am committed to finding new things to do just that. To always have something new to look at. To always have a product that you can’t live without. So, if you need a change, come see me. Let’s play. Let’s try on ten different lipsticks. I know there is one that will change your life.
