Here are our picks for your shopping list for the 2014-2015 school year:

  • A great parka– in this area the weather can be so unpredictable so having items to layer is essential. Beat the retail prices by finding a pre-loved parka or jacket at a 529 Kids Consign. *Mom tip, find one your little one really loves so he’s more likely to remember to bring it back home!

  • Leggings/Knit Tights– This is a great way to increase the longevity of summer dresses into fall. Just pair leggings or a knit tight and you’re little girl is ready to go!
  • Rain gear– Nobody wants to get soggy at the bus stop! Kids need a great pair of boots and jacket! You can almost always score a Hatley raincoat and or boots at 529!
  • Jeans– Kids need jeans to get them from the playground to the science lab, but at the mall they can be so expensive. Find great jeans from Crew Cuts, Gap Kids and Seven for All Mankind at  a fraction of the price at 529 Kids Consign.
  • Accessories– These are particularly important for kiddies that are required to wear uniforms to school. Accessories are a great way for them to follow the dress guidelines but still show their own style. From headbands to fun backpacks to safe nail polish, make sure you have some fun things to help get your kids excited to head back to the classroom.
