"It is possible to look good and be taken seriously at work..."

Just because you work in an office does not mean you need to abandon being chic. In fact, the more chic the better! People will respect and admire you for caring about what you wear on your back because it’s a reflection of self-respect. I harp on this all of the time with my own clients, but I will share it here too: it is possible to look good and be taken seriously at work.TSALT just received a huge bundle of pieces that are the perfect combination of chic and conservative, so they are perfect for work. In true TSALT form, these pieces are high-quality, so they will stand the true test of time. If your work wardrobe is more like a small capsule, then it may be time to add a piece or two to the rotation. I went to town and tried everything on in order to give you the true low-down on why these pieces are so great.

  1. Elaine Kim DressThis dress has a modest neckline and length, which makes it the perfect dress for work and conservative occasions. Don’t blink because you might miss the leather detailing on the sleeve. Finally, this tech stretch fabric is a work of art. It’s so stretchy and comfortable.
  2. Iris Setlakwe Leather & Gathered DressThis Iris dress is a steel grey, dual textured and gathered frock that is so very flattering. The neckline is subtly unique and interesting, but also flattering on all chest sizes. The here and there gathering makes this an easy dress to wear when trying to hide trouble spots.
  3. Iris Setlakwe Leather Panel JacketYou can certainly wear this jacket with the matching dress above, or you can work it into the rest of your wardrobe. Wear over a skirt and shell, pants and blouse or jeans and a t-shirt on the weekends. The options are endless. The sleeves have quite a bit of stretch so you can comfortably live in this edgy take on a duster.
  4. Iris Plaid Dress with Knit Turtleneck This is a more structured version of any turtleneck dress that I’ve ever seen. It’s wool but lined so you’ll feel warm and secure and on colder days the knit turtleneck will keep you cozy in the office. This is a great dress to pair with black opaque tights and black pumps.
  5. Iris Marble Wrap DressIf you’re looking for a less conventional take on a dress for a work function or work happy hour, this wrap dress is such a great option. The marble design sets it apart from all of the florals we’re seeing. Take this dress with you all year by adding tights and boots/pumps or sandals and a hat in the summer!
  6. Iris Two Tone Stretch BlazerWhen I think of a work blazer, I think of something that looks cookie cutter corporate and super uncomfortable. This blazer by Iris Setlakwe has ribbed knit sleeves making it the perfect blazer to layer on top of just about anything without feeling like you’re stuffed into something. This blazer can be dressed up or down depending on what you wear under it, making it a very versatile addition to your closet.
