The only thing I have in my refrigerator right now is coffee, cream, and wine…the most important essentials. But I am finally done with my kitchen and can’t wait to start filling it up with fresh food and start cooking. I will definitely start with some of Susie’s recipes…maybe I’ll start with her recipe for Easter Brunch coming up next week. Stay turned for one of her best recipes!
I am so happy that the kitchen is done and I can wake up with no workers in my house, as nice as they are. There are a couple of ongoing issues (warming drawer panel didn’t show up, wrong freezer drawer panel etc, etc) but for the most part: all done. Below is a picture of the BEFORE and then some after pictures. Hard to believe I lived with this.
And here is the after. I chose lighting by Aerin from Visual Comfort and can be purchased at Coco Blanca, as can the pretty white vases. My appliances are all by Miele with the exception of the microwave drawer by Sharp. The tile is by Waterworks, Cottage White in a herringbone pattern. The art I found through the Charleston Collective and is by Anne Darby Parker.
Below is my new dining room table. No chairs yet! But I do think this table is perfect for a small dining area. It measures 47” across and 72” long with the leaf. When the leaf is out is it only 54”. It comes in many different custom finishes, but of course I chose shell white. It retails for about $3,000, depending on the finish, and can be bought through Coco Blanca.
I have never done a renovation where it didn’t take longer than anticipated and this was no exception. But it is well worth the effort. I loved getting up this morning and making coffee in my kitchen. Now I can’t wait to finish furnishing it.
If you are starting a kitchen renovation, don’t hesitate to ask me questions — I am happy to help steer you in the right direction. I really did love my installers and kitchen designer, so if you are looking I will share their names.
