Personalized Attention & Fun Exercise, All in One Place

Sharon has lived in Alexandria for a long time. She’s tried it all: yoga, spin, zero-dark-thirty boot camp in a school parking lot, and the corporate gym classes. Sadly, she has found that she either loses steam because something comes up or she gets injured. Then, she spends the next few months feeling bad about how she feels, looks, and frankly behaves.

The cycle and pattern continue. Sharon wants so much to love group exercise: it’s motivating, it’s affordable, and it can be fun. And, she’d love to find a gym where they value personal attention.

So, why is it so hard for Sharon to find all those things – and find a gym that focuses on the group and her so she can get the attention she needs? Well, perhaps she didn’t know about Fitness on the Run?

Check out our most recent classes – each with a maximum of only eight people – where Remi is programming for the group and for the individuals. He is a master at demonstrating rows, the ball slams, and the wood chop with a lunge. All of these movements can be scaled for every fitness level.

At Fitness on the Run you are recognized as an individual, not a number. We know every client. We celebrate personal bests (“kudos”), birthdays, and new good habits as a community. We care so deeply about our client’s health, fitness, and form; we want to be by your side through your personal journey to health.

At Fitness on the Run you will learn how to get stronger than you’ve ever imagined. We believe it’s never too late. Don’t believe us? We have a 92 and a 95 year-old in our ranks – ask them yourself! Our clients have reached strength goals beyond their and their friends’ expectations.

At Fitness on the Run you will learn why we program our movements the way we do. We show you every movement before you do it. Why? You learn to do it right so injury is a thing of the past. What if you are completing a movement improperly? We show you how to correct it with a delicate touch of – you guessed it – personal care.

So, all of the Sharons out there: try us out. We are offering 3 Personal Training sessions for $99 PLUS one month of FREE Unlimited classes. Yes, you heard it correctly. Click here or just email me to set up your first session. Reach me at

  • The latest from Adrien
Adrien founded Fitness on the Run in 2004 out of her home. Today, “FOR” is home to more than 250 clients, 11 instructors, and hundreds of inspirational success stories. She is passionate about helping others view their fitness as a journey, not a quick fix. Adrien’s recipe for success has evolved from a rigid training plan of a 4-5 workouts per week. Now, she believes the most important ingredient is making small changes for big results — even if its only five minutes a day. She works daily to help clients understand the three most vital component of a effective fitness program are consistency, sustainability, and fun. Adrien believes we all benefit from being curious about our bodies and our health and that change is always within reach. She lives a clean lifestyle, insists on getting sufficient quality sleep, and finds ways to manage her stress, typically through dancing with her kids nightly.

Fitness on the Run is Fitness for Life. Combining a focus on strong bodies and strong minds with a robust wellness education program and unparalleled personalized attention, we provide fitness for health, longevity and functionality.
