Red Barn Mercantile’s Annual Holiday Unveiling

The weather is starting to get chilly and pumpkin spice fills the air which can mean only one thing – Red Barn Mercantile’s Holiday Unveiling. Currently we are buried under boxes of holiday product feverishly getting ready for our biggest party of the year. If you call the store this week, don’t be surprised if we are slow to answer because we will be turning the store upside down to create a winter wonderland for you to enjoy. This year, we have ten – yes, I said ten – themed trees planted around the store accompanied by all the accoutrements you need to make this Christmas festive.

I hope you will join us on November 7th, 6pm – 9pm as we unveil this year’s holiday goodies. As usual, we have some really fun things in store for you. Along with the trees we will have sweets from Buttercream Bakeshop and yummy savories all styled by Joy Bythrow of Mornings Like These.  Michele Hatty Fritz of Meant to Be Calligraphy will be etching party favors to go with your glasses from last year. Bubbles are a must at any holiday fete, so new this year, we will be tasting a selection of delicious sparkling wines. There will be a raffle drawing and best of all, discounts of 15 – 30 percent off your purchase!

If that weren’t enough, take your discount and head on over to Penny Post to pick up your holiday cards, gift wrap, ribbon, and paper and pen stocking stuffers galore. We will be open from 6pm – 9pm for your party pleasure.

To give you a sense of the fun we have at our annual unveiling, here are a few pictures from year’s past. We look forward to seeing you Thursday November 7th!

  • The latest from Amy
Owner Amy Rutherford started Red Barn because she wanted to deliver a service — to provide both old and new in one place. No longer will busy shoppers be limited to reproductions or forced to shop multiple flea markets for the look or gifts they want. The trick in blending old and new, vintage and modern, classic and quirky, is balance. And Amy’s knack for mixing rustic antiques with urban chic has created a look that is both fresh and familiar.

Red Barn Mercantile opened its doors in September 2007 with a single vision in mind: providing old and new to offer our customers signature whole-room designs at great prices.

We’re more than a furniture boutique and provide more personalized service than a big box retailer. We work hard to bring you the highest quality furniture and gifts, the most unique conversation starters, wall hangings and accent pieces, whether they come from off-the-beaten-track flea markets, or the latest designers.
