Yoga is one way to connect with others and to our highest self. We all feel stuck or blocked sometimes, and in those moments it can feel like we are the only one having this experience. Yet, it is a human experience we all share. Join us for a retreat on the breathtaking Caribbean Coast of Colombia, South America. Students of all levels are welcome.
This will be a time for self-exploration and rejuvenation. You will learn yogic practices to generate greater awareness and transform blockages into personal power, love, and freedom. Exercises will include yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, group discussion, time for silence, as well as learning from local indigenous people who have used nature as their guide for centuries. The retreat will take place at an eco-lodge retreat center, Viento Solar, on the beachfront of the Caribbean coast.

Michael Peterson, e-RYT 500, Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Thai Yoga Practitioner
Mind the Mat Pilates & Yoga was founded in 2008 by Megan Brown, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Polestar Certified Practitioner of Pilates for Rehabilitation and Sara VanderGoot, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher (e-RYT 200, RYT 500). In their private practices as physical therapist and massage therapist respectively Megan and Sara observed that many of their clients were coming in with similar needs: relief for neck and shoulder tension and low back pain as well as a desire for more flexibility in hips and legs, stability in joints, and core strength.
Together Megan and Sara carefully crafted a curriculum of Pilates and yoga classes to address needs for clients who are pregnant, postpartum, have injuries or limitations, who are new to Pilates and yoga, and for those who are advanced students and are looking for an extra challenge.
