Sip and See with The Beaufort Bonnet Company

With January and February behind us, we are in full spring mode! We’re stocked with shamrocks, bunnies, and pastels in every shade and we can’t wait to get outside and wear them.Tomorrow and Saturday, we are excited to showcase one of our best-selling lines, The Beaufort Bonnet Company (TBBC), for a Sip and See. We’ll be highlighting their latest spring launch (it’s adorable) and raffling off great prizes both days. We’ll have sweets and bubbly sips (to go), so you can cheers safely at home.   Given the start of Women's History Month, we thought you might like to know some background on how a bonnet gave rise to the children’s clothing empire that is The Beaufort Bonnet Company. The story goes…Generations ago in South Carolina, a simple yet elegant baby bonnet pattern was cut carefully from plain brown paper. When a new mother in Beaufort opened a beautiful bonnet for her daughter’s shower many years later, the excitement the gift received gave birth to an idea and inspired that mother to begin a baby bonnet business. With an heirloom bonnet pattern and a desire to see all babies look their best, the young mother started The Beaufort Bonnet Company.Years later, in Lexington, Kentucky, designer and new mother Markey Hutchinson received a package in the mail from an old friend. Inside the package was a sweet note and a pink and white gingham baby bonnet from a boutique in Beaufort, S.C.  It was love at first sight for Markey and after countless compliments on the sweet bonnet, she purchased the bonnet business with a vision of crafting an entire line of the highest quality children’s products in timeless styles.    With 183k followers on Instagram and products that sell out within moments of being launched, TBBC makes more than just cute bonnets. They’ve curated a brand with the utmost loyal following. Their mission is to create loving memories and traditions with children and the darling clothes they make never disappoint.TBBC was the first account I called when I took over Monday’s Child and we can hardly keep the brand in stock. We hope you’ll stop by this weekend for one of our favorite events and see the cuteness for yourself!
