Skin Tag Removal...at Home

A few years ago, I started noticing a little skin bump near the skin fold on my left eye. I ignored it because you could barely see it in the fold. Then one day I looked up and I realized I had a full-blown skin tag on my eyelid. I couldn’t hide it with my eyeshadow anymore and I knew that people were starting to look at it when they were talking to me.The dermatologist said he could cut it off. All I had to do was make an appointment. I planned to do it, but between work, the house, and driving four boys around, it never seemed to be a priority. Fast forward a couple weeks and it is really bothering me that I still have this thing on my eyelid. I have to get this taken care of, but cutting something off my eyelid sounds scary.I decided to do a little research on the internet about skin tag removal and saw that a lot of people claimed to have removed their skin tags with apple cider vinegar. I myself had used diluted apple cider vinegar to clear up a case of folliculitis after a facial waxing. I was amazed that it had worked when nothing else did, so I was intrigued.I decided to give it a try.Day one, I bought organic apple cider vinegar with the mother in it (learn more about what that means here). I carefully applied Rosebud Salve all around the skin tag to protect the surrounding skin from burning. Apple cider vinegar is a strong acid. It can burn your skin if you are not careful. This was my eye so I was extra cautious. I definitely didn’t want to get any of the vinegar in my eye or to burn my eyelid. I then poured some of the vinegar into a shot glass. I dipped a Q-tip into the vinegar and then pressed the Q-tip gently onto the skin tag so the vinegar wouldn’t run. It burned a little, I’m not gonna lie. So I would lift and press, lift and press...for five minutes. The first day the skin tag got a little dry. The second day I noticed it was pulling away from the base a bit. The third day I concentrated the acid on the root area between the tag and the base where it had lifted a bit, and on the fourth day, it fell off. The root was there a bit on the eyelid so I continued that night with the vinegar. The next day my lid was dry and flaky in that area. Over the next few days the flakes fell off and my eyelid was completely clear. It worked!I’m not advocating doing this on the eye area. You could do real damage if you’re not careful. But if you have a skin tag on a less sensitive part of the body, you may want to try this remedy. It worked for me.
