In the fall of 2016, I opened the second store -- The Hive, for clothing -- and a year and a half later, I am still finding it a bit difficult to balance my brain between the two, especially when it comes to Alexandria Stylebook. Some months it seems like I only write about one store, usually The Hive. Aren’t the toddlers the ones who always demand the attention? But too often it’s tempting to not properly spotlight the other.Last week we did a promotion at The Hive with denim and it was great. Folks came in and stocked up on their favorite brands. So I thought, don’t I need to show The Shoe Hive the same kind of love? I mean, I can’t neglect the one that brought me into retail.I began to think, what goes great with denim? Well, sneakers, of course! So starting today through Sunday we are marking down all sneakers by 30 percent. Even our newest brand, the fashion girl favorite Golden Goose, will be on sale.So if you haven’t embraced the sneaker trend, here is your chance. I’d be remiss if I didn’t remind you we were on the very front end of this trend with Superga years ago, thanks to my kids' need for them for their Montessori uniform.
