I asked Andrea to write a paragraph about herself to include in this post, but I didn’t feel she did herself justice. So, let me introduce you to Andrea. She is a native Northern Virginian and has lived and worked in Alexandria for 22 years. She is also a badass. She co-owns and runs two local businesses, Misha’s Coffee and Trident CrossFit.

“Having spent over 20 years at Misha’s has been an amazing way to get to know a lot of people in Alexandria. At this point, I have hired young people whose parents I knew before they were born.” She thrives on staying connected to her community.

A lifelong athlete and a coach for competitive gymnastics, she became a trainer about 8 years ago–a natural progression. After four years working on military contracts, training at a gym and collaborating with CrossFit Headquarters on their seminar staff, it was another natural progression to open a gym with her husband, Chriss.

Her days are split between roasting coffee and training at Trident. As a result, she tends to dress casually. Aside from workout clothes, she prefers clothes with clean lines with an edgy/urban feel to them. At 5’1, heels are always a must, and she relies on The Shoe Hive to give her a heads up when they get in heels they know she will love.

Her favorite designers include Rebecca Taylor, Elizabeth and James, Susana Monaco, All Saints and Rag and Bone. Here she is pictured in Rebecca Taylor jacket and pants from Zoe Boutique and old-school DVF heels from The Shoe Hive.
