Angelica is the founder and publisher of Clarendon Moms, one of the most popular NOVA/DC area blogs, read by thousands each day. Clarendon Moms serves as a lifestyle resource for local moms and their families.
A former professional actress, you can see why the camera would love Angelica. Her laugh is hearty, smile genuine and face…well, radiant. When she agreed to have her makeup done by Angela, the owner of Bellacara, for this beauty-focused feature, I immediately knew something special would come out of it. I have never included this many photos in a street style post, but I simply could not pick my favorites.
Even the process was photogenic, as Angela and Angelica bonded over their love of makeup and all things beauty. Angela used all Smashbox and Kevyn Aucoin products on Angelica: Studio Foundation, Halo Hydrating Powder in Medium Dark, Long Wear Cream Shadow in Gemstone and Bronze Lights in Sundan Matte–all by Smashbox; and Volume Mascara and Pure Powder Glow in Neolita–all by Kevyn Aucoin.
Angelica has a lovely golden tone to her skin that Angela sought to highlight. Be choosing a foundation with a peachy hue, it really made her skin glow. She has smaller lashes that she has a hard time applying mascara to with normal mascara brushes. Kevyn Aucoin’s mascara brush is very skinny and really lets you coat each lash and pull up for maximum effect. Of course, Angelica is naturally beautiful so all Angela had to do was enhance her features.
From Angelica: “I’m absolutely in love with Old Town. It’s a hop, skip and jump from my Clarendon neighborhood and I visit Old Town at least once a week to walk the new waterfront, explore the cafes and pop into different boutiques. It’s a beautiful, historical neighborhood with lovely cobblestone streets, lots of shopping and dining and naturally beautiful backdrops for pictures.”
Here are only 30 of the hundreds of beautiful photos we shot that day. Enjoy the slideshow, visit Angelica’s website and pop into Bellacara to get customized makeup tips and to try the products used for this post.
