Emily Schell Jones loves the urban suburban oasis of Rosemont. Emily and her husband, Brian, lived in Brooklyn before choosing to call Alexandria their home and although they considered purchasing a new home in neighborhoods outside of Alexandria, they came to the conclusion that no other area would have the same metro access, quick commute in to the city, walkability to Old Town and Del Ray and overall community feel that they are able to find in Alexandria. It has many of the small town elements that she and Evie enjoyed growing up, but with access and proximity to the nation’s capital. Emily works part-time as a fundraising consultant-helping nonprofits with their fundraising strategy and plans and serves on the board of Volunteer Alexandria. She enjoys all of the time she is able to spend with her two young children, as well as her nieces.
A native Washingtonian (the state that is) Evie Schell Cartwright loves living in Alexandria. As a former Shoe Hive employee while in grad school and daughter of a small business owner, Evie enjoys shopping locally, especially at the Old Town Boutique District Black Friday Sale. When not busy raising her two little girls, Evie volunteers with Junior Friends of the Campagna Center. She loves a good latte, a long book and a run on the GW trail.
The sisters live 15 minutes apart and talk on the phone or see one another everyday. They both love exploring the greater DC area and aren’t afraid to drag their kids along on their adventures.
The clothing and jewelry Evie and Emily are wearing is from Kiskadee while the bags and shoes are from The Shoe Hive.
