ABOUT YOU

How do you spend your time? My goal lately has been to do one creative thing every single day. Just to stay inspired in this weird time. It can be anything - a new recipe, writing, new social content, a craft, home projects - whatever! One of my mentors told me to be creating always and I believe that’s such valuable advice. I’ve found it keeps your mind and your eye sharp. Additionally, I work hard on my business all the time but I budget my time carefully and put my attention into my family and friendships on the weekend. My husband and I love live music, comedy shows, and taking advantage of getting outside in our beautiful city. But lately, it’s been a lot of Netflix, bike rides, and I’m fortunate my he can play multiple instruments so I get live music at home.Neighborhood: South Arlington (right near Four Mile Run) which I love for all the dog parks, trails, and paths nearby. How long have you lived in the area: I’ve lived in Arlington since 2016 when I moved here from Los Angeles. What is your hometown? I’ve been bi-coastal the majority of my life between Los Angeles and my parent’s house in Centreville, Virginia. What brought you to the area? My baby daddy (and by baby I mean puppy). What would surprise people about you? Probably that I can be shy at times! I have to force myself to go to events and talk to new people. I’m a bit of a homebody in some ways. You’re a superhero. What’s your superpower? Reading minds - I always ask people what they’re thinking.Favorite cocktail: Skinny Margarita with Casamigos, salted rim over a large rock.Last book read or movie seen: I read a lot but my favorite book of the year so far is Daisy Jones and the Six. The movie is tough, but I like indie films, especially dark comedies.Guilty Pleasure: Real Housewives. Although I feel no guilt whatsoever!A phrase you overuse: “Do you mind?”Facebook or Instagram? Instagram.Latest binge-watch: Get Organized with The Home Edit on NetflixBucket list travel destination: Capri Room at Buca di Beppo - just kidding, Amalfi Coast, and then Monte Carlo. If you only could have one for the rest of your life: wine or coffee? I’d rather not go on…

FASHION

Define your style in three words or less: Fun, Authentic, Glam. The go-to piece in your wardrobe: Love a white long-sleeve Henley preferably ribbed or thermal it’s a signature staple for me.Favorite trend ever: Fur.Favorite current trend: Neon/80s - a puff sleeve is a BFF for me!Beauty product you can’t live without: Facial oil, any and all kinds… just slather it on! I love Thyrst Beauty!Favorite fragrance: On occasion, my girlfriends have said if I sleep over they feel like they’ve bathed in Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb. But lately, I wear Gucci Bloom and I’ve been known to like Dolce’s Light Blue.Heels or flats? Heels - White hooker pumps, please!

YOUR HOME

Favorite room in your home: My closet!Antiques, modern, or a mix? A mix, I love it all. High, low, modern, and thrift layers and pairings are most interesting to me. I am not loving the huge 80's interiors trend that’s coming back though, it literally hurts my face.Last item bought for your home: Well honey, I went to HomeGoods and threw down - got all the things!Next planned purchase: I don’t like to plan what I buy, I like to collect things as I find good stuff. But with that said, we got rid of our coffee table and now we are looking for a new one. I will never buy a glass coffee table again. So much cleaning!Favorite way to entertain: Dinner parties and I love love love the holidays!Clutter-free or well-lived in? Clutter-free, I straighten my house every morning before I get anything done work-wise.Wallpaper -- yes, totally modern or no, so dated: Obsessed with sticky wallpaper, looking for more excuses to use. I love a DIY moment.

FITNESS

Your go-to work-out: Pilates. Most fun way to exercise: Exercise that’s more of an experience like a hike or bike ride.Group exercise or solo: Solo.Fitness goal: Stay healthy, look hot.Haven’t yet, but might be willing to try with coaching/encouragement: Being able to do the splits!Proudest fitness achievement: Being able to touch my toes, seriously, I’m so inflexible.

NOVA

Favorite spot in NOVA: Probably Arlington Rooftop because that’s the moment I knew my husband and I were in love after only three dates! (We’re crazy!)Last purchase: South Block.Best coffee, happy hour, and date night spot: Northside Social, Ambar, and Cava Mezze.Favorite charity: I work with the Birthday Party Project which is where the organization and volunteers throw a monthly party for underprivileged children in the community. I’ve found that very fulfilling and cheerful. Who doesn’t love a birthday party?Favorite annual local event: The yearly Taste of Arlington Event is always fun to see the local community pull together and showcase their offerings!
