Team DC Style Factory

DC Style Factory Team in ALexandria, VA

If you ask any business owner, they will always tell you that the most difficult part of running a business is hiring the right people. I am no exception. I feel I am always learning and growing in this area. More than anything, I want skilled stylists who share my vision for DC Style Factory. I want people on my team who are just as passionate about client service as they are about fashion. I always say you can be the most talented personal stylist in the world and it won’t do you any good if you can’t deliver spot-on customer service.

These five women share in our mission and vision. If you follow me on Instagram Stories (@dcstylefactory), I am sure you feel like you already know them.

Marissa Baccam

Marissa Baccam is a graduate of Marymount University’s Fashion Merchandising program. She has worked for both luxury and mainstream brands such as BCBG Max Azria, Anthropologie, and Yves Saint Laurent. With 10 years of experience in fashion, visual merchandising, and retail, Marissa brings top-notch styling service to DC Style Factory clients. She also has worked in the White House and has an intimate understanding of the needs of the D.C. professional who is navigating style and wardrobe.

When she is not calming a chaotic closet or pulling the perfect pair of black pants for a client, Marissa is a wife and mother of two. Marissa’s favorite piece of clothing are her Alice & Olivia culottes! “They are so versatile. I dress them up with heels and dress them down with loafers.”

With her tailored French Chic + edgy Rocker style, Marissa would shop Anine Bing, Equipment, Isabel Marant, Veronica Beard, Rag & Bone, and Emerson Frye at The Hive.

Elizabeth Fitzsimmons

Elizabeth Fitzsimmons is a senior career diplomat with an intimate knowledge of the wardrobe conundrums the D.C. professional faces. Elizabeth started with DC Style Factory as a long-time client, experiencing first-hand the DC Style Factory process and method. She understands what our clients need because she has been one! She has gone through DC Style Factory’s introductory and intensive training on body type styling, fabric, silhouette, color, and more.

As a true DC Boss Lady who has lived and worked on six continents, Elizabeth brings her organizational experience to our clients’ closets and lives. When she is not working on client’s wardrobes, she is wife and a mother of five. Elizabeth’s favorite type of clothing is the “third piece.” Whether it is a soft blazer, a pendant necklace, or a well tied scarf (and we will teach you how), the third piece elevates your look from ordinary to purposeful.

Elizabeth’s elegant style is Classic + Ladylike with a dash of French Chic. She would shop Veronica Beard, Tibi, and Emerson Frye at The Hive. She would shop Black Halo, Elaine Kim, and Santorelli at TSALT.

Amy Stuart

Amy started her career in digital project management. She has worked at PR and digital agencies in the D.C. area to build websites and apps as well as develop branding, logos, and marketing materials. During that time she could often be caught perusing style blogs or reading fashion articles. She decided to use her digital knowledge and project management skills in a field that she was passionate about. Today, she helps develop DC Style Factory business initiatives that add value to the client experience, improve the company’s business processes, and ensure that all clients are receiving the highest level of service.

When she isn’t busy preparing DC Style Factory client materials or planning our next style event, Amy is a new mom and enjoys spending time with her husband and baby. You can also find her at a Barre workout or enjoying the outdoors. Amy’s favorite wardrobe staple is a great jacket or blazer for its ability to instantly pull an outfit together.

Amy’s Style is combination of relaxed, colorful Boho + tailored French Chic with a splash of Preppy. She would wear Pink Chicken, Emerson Frye, Trovata Birds of Paradise, Ulla Johnson, and Xirena at The Hive. She would shop Lilla P and Trina Turk at Kiskadee.

Brianna Thomas

Brianna Thomas is in her last semester as at Marymount University studying Fashion Merchandising. She has worked as a lead sales associate for national brands, bringing to our team clothing, retail, and customer service experience and know-how. She also has worked behind the scenes styling local fashion shows and events. Today, Brianna assists the DC Style Factory team at closet, shopping, and outfit creation appointments, ensuring efficiency, organization, and professionalism to enhance the client experience.

Brianna’s favorite wardrobe piece is a pair of statement earrings. “It’s all in how you accessorize! Accessories can add personality and depth to an outfit. Whether it is a fun scarf, a flirty necklace, or a statement earring, they can take you from work to play, day to night.”

Brianna’s style is tailored French Chic + Urban Funky edge. She would shop Tibi, Emerson Frye, Vince, Ganni, and Isabel Marant, all at The Hive.
