Ten Days of Celebrating (and Investing in) Women

Truthfully, one of my favorite parts of my job is when I get to highlight the amazing female talent that creates the backbone of our beautiful showroom. Anytime a client goes home with a piece from our collection, I feel like I have played a matchmaker of sorts. These are powerful makers creating powerful jewelry for powerful women. When the pandemic led to a shutdown of retail shops across the U.S. last year, I made a conscientious decision to invest our money in new collections from independent female designers. These are women who are highly skilled behind the bench who have also built successful businesses that reflect their own individual style and direction. That is not an easy thing to do in this saturated jewelry market. To celebrate their work, we're hosting a trunk show March 19 – March 28, highlighting new work from Tura Sugden, Shaya Durbin, Susan Highsmith, and more. Make an appointment to browse their collections - these pieces are truly best appreciated in person. To learn more about each of our highlighted makers, make sure to visit the interviews I did with them last year - they are so inspiring!  And, because we believe in investing in women in the workforce, we're donating 15 percent of each sale during the event to Together We Bake, a local non-profit dedicated to providing restaurant training to underserved women in the D.C. area to enable them to find sustainable employment with their earned skillset. You can shop most of the collections online, but we highly recommend making an appointment to privately browse our showroom to see the pieces up close. And remember, you can get your Powered by Women Passport stamped with us in person from March 19 - March 28!
