When you think of tie-dye, it probably brings you back to the early ‘70s attending The Grateful Dead concerts, or maybe the crafting you used to do at summer camp. While those memories were most likely nostalgic ones … that’s not the kind of tie-dye that we are talking about. We have found a renewed fondness for updated and refined tie-dye prints on luxurious silk and cashmere fabrics, and we simply can’t get enough of it!
The tie-dye trend made an appearance at multiple shows during Fashion Week such as Micheal Kors, Gucci and Alexander Wang, to name a few. Clearly this trend is making a comeback, but this time around it’s all about elevated fabrics and eye-catching swirls. This playful trend is an easy way to incorporate prints into your wardrobe for the end of summer and transitioning into the fall.
We were immediately drawn to the tie-dye printed pieces on a recent buying trip to New York, and ended up buying a whole slew of them for our store! We selected versatile garments that are easy to wear, super comfortable and are appropriate for all ages.
Our model and Potomac High School rising Senior, Caroline Stoddard is featured wearing three different tie-dye pieces that we know you will love to own in your wardrobe this fall!
