What a difference a year can make. This time last year, we were admiring the fall foliage at the site of three future Wellington homes, eagerly waiting for construction to begin. Now, as the leaves begin to turn again, we’re walking through one of these homes, “oohing” and “ahhing” over the finished product. 8115 Wellington Road is one of three single-family detached homes designed by Steve Kulinski, a local architect, and constructed by a premier local builder, with input—probably more than they wanted—from yours truly, and a kitchen and baths by the amazing St. Clair Kitchens, who did my own kitchen. Solidly built and carefully designed to maximize space and functionality, these homes feature three finished levels, open layouts (identical in each home, albeit with different finishes), 10’ ceilings, five bedrooms, four and a half baths, more than 4,200 square feet, a one-car garage, and a fully fenced backyard with a large deck.
The main level is to die for, with a combined kitchen, family and breakfast room featuring a large center island and breakfast bar, quartzite countertops, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, a wet bar with a wine refrigerator, a huge butler’s pantry, a gas fireplace, bump-outs in which buyers have the option to pay extra for built-in window seats or a breakfast nook, large windows, and a sliding glass door to the deck. 8115 Wellington Road is the first of the three new constructions to be completed; 8111 and 8113 will be delivered in 30-60 days, but are available for purchase now!
