Work to Night Style

In an ideal world, during the work week you’d always have a couple of hours to get ready for a night out. That way, you could relax, take your time, and make sure everything was perfect. But what if you don't have time for that? As a stylist, it is our job to create ease in our clients' lives and show them how they can go from work to play with a few simple changes. Here are three ways to go from work to night.

Casual Work to Night Out

A lot of our clients work in a "dress for your day" or business casual work environment and if they are going out after work, they don't always want to show up wearing casual attire. An easy way to step up a more casual work to night wardrobe? Change your casual sweater to a top that feels luxe (like velvet), swap your work tote for an over-sized clutch, and change into a statement necklace to take this look from day to evening in a snap!

Work To Cocktail Party

No time to change for a cocktail party after work? Not a problem! Choose a dress in a classic silhouette like a shift or a sheath in an ultra dress material like silk. For work, throw on a black blazer, opaque tights and pointed toe leather ankle boots. For the cocktail party, remove the blazer, swap blue tote for a dressy metallic clutch, put on some fun, strap-y suede heels, and add a gorgeous statement earring. In less than two minutes you will be the life of the party!

Business Professional to Night Out

If you wear a suit everyday to work or you have a day full of meetings, you know you have to dress in polished and professional pieces. But how do you take these business professional pieces from day to night? Switch your blazer and go for a statement coat! Choose one in a three-quarter length that you can easily wear with dresses, too. Throw on some statement earrings and add a fun clutch. An added tip: make sure you choose a statement top in a material like lace, so you can easily go from day to night!
